Initial deployment to Bosnia in 1995 didn't provide much opportunity to paint, but returning 8 years later the situation had radically changed for the better. Based in Sarajevo for a year any spare time was spent discovering the Balkan landscape. Hope and Homes for Children proved a natural choice for an end of tour exhibition. Sponsored by the Turkish Embassy, 32 paintings sold providing an injection of funds for the orphanage. The paintings here give flavour of the subjects covered.
